Central Cambria 2, Richland 1 (OT): The Red Devils edged the host Rams in overtime.
Central Cambria had goals by Ryan Hunt and Troy Shope. Trent Rozich scored for Richland. The game was tied 1-all at halftime, and neither team scored in the second half, forcing overtime.
Chestnut Ridge 4, Forest Hills 0: In New Paris, Evan Roose recorded a hat trick to lead the Lions past the Rangers.
Jack Moyer tallied the Lions’ other goal, while Gavyn Walter provided an assist.
Somerset 4, Penn Cambria 1: In Cresson, four different Golden Eagles scored in a victory over the Panthers.
Mckay Ross scored a goal and assisted on another. Zeth Augustine, Quinn Egal and Andrew Luteri tallied the other goals. Elijah Armstrong assisted on a goal.
Chase Sorchetti scored Penn Cambria’s lone goal.
Bedford 3, Bishop Carroll Catholic 0: In Bedford, Bowen LaMarche, Chase DeLong and Mikey Huffman all scored goals to lead the Bisons to a shutout triumph over the Huskies.
Colby Barnhouse, DeLong and Josh Diehl recorded assists for Bedford (4-1). Chris Klinger recorded the shutout.
Cambria Heights 5, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic 3: In Atloona, Seth Conoway scored four goals, including three straight at one point, and Matt Davis added a goal as the Highlanders beat the Marauders.
Devan Wyandt had two goals for Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic and Joel Craig tallied one.
High School Girls
Bedford 13, Bishop Carroll Catholic 0: In Ebensburg, Jordan Brown and Sydney Taracatac each finished with two goals to lead 11 different scorers as the Bisons stampeded past the Huskies.
Brown, Kiley Horne and Katelyn Shaffer both tallied two assists. Robyn Casalena, Emersyn Clark, Abby Donaldson, Aemilia Foor, Breanna Hankinson, Makenzie Pyle, Grace Sarver, Shaffer, Juliana Taylor added goals for Bedford (4-0-1). Lindsay Mowry earned the shutout.
Westmont Hilltop 8, Bishop McCort Catholic 1: Grace Dryer had two goals and the Hilltoppers used a five-goal second half to pull away from the Crimson Crushers.
Westmont Hilltop also had goals by Morgan Faight, Katherine Horner, Lauren Kozak, Alexis Nudds, Cami Danchanko and Mckenzie Kozak.
Caroline Ingram had Bishop McCort Catholic’s goal.
Cambria Heights 6, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic 3: In Patton, Abbey Lansberry posted a hat trick while Kelly Bassett added two goals to lead the Highlanders past the Marauders.
Cambria Heights poured in three goals in the second half to prevail. Abbey Kenney added the final goal, with Lansberry assisting on a goal.
Aurielle Brunner scored a pair of goals for Bishop Guilfoyle, with Lainey Farabaugh scoring the other goal.
Richland 13, Central Cambria 0: In Ebensburg, Autumn Facci and Katie Griffith each scored four goals to carry the Rams past the Red Devils. Richland (5-1) tallied eight goals in the first half.
Camryn Beglin added a pair of goals, while Carly Colvin and Morgan Philibin scored one apiece. Colvin assisted on three goals, while Facci, Griffith, Julianna Stem and Lexie Wesner poured in one assist each.
Bella Burke and Margaret Orr combined on the shutout.
Forest Hills 7, Chestnut Ridge 1: In Sidman, Olivia Guillarmod and Lydia Roman combined to score all seven of the Rangers goals in a victory over the Lions. Forest Hills tallied five goals in the second half.
Guillarmod scored four goals, while Roman added three. Audrianna Barnes produced Chestnut Ridge’s lone goal.
High School Girls
Conemaugh Township 3, Windber 0: In Davidsville, Mary Swank had 13 kills, 13 digs and four service aces as the Indians defeated the Ramblers 25-7, 29-27, 25-21.
Jennifer Durica had 13 kills, 14 digs and three aces. Morgan Showalter had five kills, and Grace Hostetler had seven digs. Madison Showalter had 26 assists.
Central Cambria 3, Bishop Carroll 1: In Ebensburg, Liz Bopp supplied 20 kills and fellow Red Devil Maggie Kudlawiec added 16 kills, 30 digs and 11 service points as their squad topped the Huskies 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 26-24. Cassidy Bezek had 16 service points in the win while teammates Kiersten Szpala issued 50 assists, and Kami Kamzik had five blocks.
Mara Yahner’s 15 kills led Bishop Carroll, which got 13 more from Ellie Long. Yahner also had 19 digs while Sara Muriceak’s 20 digs and 28 assists led the Huskies in both categories. Madita Dieseler had nine service points in the loss.
Bishop McCort 3, Richland 0: The Crimson Crushers swept the Rams by scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
Tierney Beebout led Richland with six kills. Logan Roman added nine assists for the Rams. No Bishop McCort stats were reported.
Forest Hills 3, Chestnut Ridge 0: In New Paris, led by Maddie Cecere’s 16 kills and 31 digs, the Rangers overcame a first set deficit to defeat the Lions in four sets, 22-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-11.
Kenzie Colosimo dished out 34 assists while adding nine digs for Forest Hills. Anna Wingard added 28 digs. Taylor Burda and Lexi Koeck each had five kills for Forest Hills.
Westmont Hilltop 3, Greater Johnstown 0: Hannah Bortz’s 23 assists helped the Hilltoppers sweep the Trojans 25-9, 25-15, 25-19 in a Laurel Highlands contest.
Abby Bortz added eight kills and three blocks for Westmont Hilltop. Lakyn Davis provided eight digs.
United 3, Ligonier Valley 0: In Armagh, Maizee Fry supplied 11 kills to spearhead the Lions past the Rams in a Heritage Conference clash.
United’s Brooklyn Murlin added nine kills and 10 service points. Addison Sutton netted 22 assists and Miranda Stiles finished with 12 digs.
Haley Stormer topped Ligonier Valley with five kills.
Shade 3, Rockwood 0: In Cairnbrook, Jenna Muha provided 10 kills to lead the Panthers past the Rockets in a WestPAC clash.
Lacie Andolina added six kills for Shade. Katie Cook and Cassidy Mauger accounted for eight and seven assists, respectively.
