Tip of the cap
While Prosser, Harding and Smith will be playing in the girls game, the Showcase will recognize the entire Berlin Brothersvalley PIAA Class A champion squad on the Sports Center floor between the boys and girls contests. The Mountaineers defeated Our Lady of Lourdes Regional 41-32 on March 22 to claim the first state team title in school history, in any sport, along with the first girls team state title in Somerset County.
The Bishop McCort Catholic cheerleading squad will also be honored during the doubleheader. The 28-member team captured the National High School Cheerleading Championship’s Super Varsity Division 2 bracket at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
