The Pitt-Johnstown got a strong pitching performance from Melissa Wagner in Saturday’s 4-0 victory to open a non-conference with Seton Hill University, before completing the sweep with a 12-10 win behind Alessa Morrison’s four hits and five RBI.  

In game one, Pitt-Johnstown broke open a one-run game with three runs in the fifth inning on its way to the 4-0 win.

Taylor Hoover hit an RBI double. 

Wagner pitched a complete-game four-hit shutout to earn her first win of the year.

In game two, Pitt-Johnstown opened-up a 7-0 lead after two innings, the held off the Griffins to complete the sweep.

Ashley Shor scored on a first-inning wild pitch to start off the scoring in the nightcap. Two batters later, Morrison drove home two with a base hit, and McKenna Kern’s ground out chased home Courtney McMahan to make it 4-0.

Pitt-Johnstown tacked on three more in the second, but Seton Hill answered with six runs of its own in the third and two more in the fourth to knot it at eight.

Morrison added a solo homerun in the sixth, and Pitt-Johnstown held on for the 12-10 win.

Morrison went 4-for-4 with a homer, five RBIs and two runs.  

Pitt-Johnstown improved to 3-8 and Seton Hill fell is now 7-11.
