The Blairsville Bobcats had their offense firing on all cylinders as they topped host United 35-18, improving to 2-0 on the season.

They put points on the board in all four quarters.

Blairsville’s first score of the game came toward the end of the first quarter, when senior quarterback Tyler Ferguson connected with receiver Mike Milliron for a 47-yard touchdown. The point-after failed.

The Bobcats then scored 15 points in the second quarter.

The first came on an 11-yard touchdown run by Mike Maryai.

Tyler Ferguson then hooked up with Taylor Ferguson for the

2-point conversion. Concluding the first half scoring for Blairsville was a 31-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Ferguson to Andrew Iezzi with 2:09 left in the second quarter. Maryai added the extra point.

Ferguson was 8 of 14 passing for 210 yards and also ran for

21 yards.

“When Iezzi gets the ball out in the open, he is awfully tough,” said United coach Greg Mytrysak. “He has a lot of moves even on a wet field he looks pretty good. I can only imagine what he looks like on a dry field.”

United’s first offensive score of the season came at the 5:43 mark in the second quarter when senior running back Dom Chero ran it in from 3 yards out.
