CHEYNEY – The Pitt-Johnstown women used 14 3-pointers, including seven from Kelsey Sleighter, to snap a three-game losing skid with an 87-79 PSAC crossover victory at Cheyney on Sunday.

Sleighter’s 21 points topped the Lady Cats (8-5).

UPJ started fast and hit 11 first half 3-pointers. Sleighter knocked down three 3-pointers and Nicole Carman hit two from long range to help UPJ run out to a 17-8 lead five minutes into the game.

Carman finished with 15 points and six rebounds, and Jasmine Harper added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Taschell Phillips scored a game-high 23 points and Kyra Hines-Allen chipped in 14 points for the Lady Wolves (2-11).
