Johnstown native Leah Yingling, a Bishop McCort Catholic graduate, broke the female course record during the 70.5 mile Laurel Highlands Ultra race on Saturday. 

The 40th annual race was completed by a total of 136 people along the entire Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, beginning in Ohiopyle and concluding in Seward. 

Yingling, who resides in Salt Lake City, finished first in the female division with a time of 13 hours, 18 minutes and 48 seconds. 

She finished second behind overall winner Cameron Stauffer, who crossed the finish line in 13 hours, 3 minutes and 4 seconds.
