The little Johnstown neighborhood, bordered by the Conemaugh River between Roosevelt Boulevard and 10th Avenue, is easily identified by its historic church steeples that stand tall above a community of residential structures. It is home to mom-and-pop businesses, social clubs, 19th-century buildings and a growing art community.
Some historic buildings in the Cambria City section of town soon will be getting repairs.
It’s new name is already appropriate.
But “The Green” – a Cambria City lot at the corner of 7th Avenue and Chestnut Street – will soon be so much more than that, the property’s new owners said.
