Shade High School’s Brady Fyfe will cap what has been a big week both on an individual and a team basis Friday at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.

Collin Instone and his Richland Rams boys basketball teammates are in the stretch run of the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference season.

At Sunday’s 48th annual Southern Alleghies Football Coaches Association banquet, Richland’s Brandon Bailey and Shade’s Don Fyfe were voted as coaches of the year. A record 386 people were in attendance at the Richland Fire Hall to celebrate a memorable 2018 season on the gridiron. The guest speaker was Bishop Carroll Catholic graduate and retired Slippery Rock University professor and coach George Mihalik.



For the past 26 years, The Tribune-Democrat All-Area Football Team has been chosen. This year, the newspaper once again continues the tradition, and thus brings the curtain down on a 2018 season that featured numerous thrilling moments with a number of surprising wins and losses along with a some impressive individual performances.
