A South Fork woman faces criminal charges, accused of attacking a registered nurse at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center on Franklin Street on Tuesday, authorities said.

Johnstown police charged Claudia Law, 65, of the 300 block of Main Street, with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

According to a criminal complaint, hospital security said that Law had been a patient several times that day, was discharged multiple times, but kept returning to the hospital.

During one visit, Law allegedly attempted to hit a nurse, the complaint said.

The nurse did have injuries to her arm, police said.

Police transported Law from the hospital to the Public Safety Building, where she was charged.

Law was arraigned by on-call District Judge John Prebish, of Cresson, and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
