A preliminary hearing has been set for June 15 for a Johnstown man apprehended in New Jersey earlier this month following a 2016 shooting on Bedford Street.
Krysten Pretlor, 30, faces aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault charges, accused of shooting Mbazulwane Ntando “Buzz” Gxuluwe, 25, outside a Family Dollar store on Dec. 3.
Police have said security footage showed Pretlor attacking Gxuluwe as he exited the store. Pretlor was considered a fugitive for months until U.S. Marshals took him into custody in Englewood, New Jersey, earlier this month.
Pretlor is now being lodged in Cambria County Prison.
District Judge Kevin Price set Pretlor’s bail at 10 percent of his $500,000 bond.
