State Rep. Bryan Barbin, D-Johnstown, will help launch the sixth annual Cuddles for Kids Toy Drive on Friday at Bishop McCort High School.

The drive was started in 2006 by Conner Hagins, now a freshman at Bishop McCort, who came up with the idea of collecting new stuffed animals and toys and donating them to local charities for children in need.

Donation bins will be placed beginning Friday at the following locations: Jet Lube of Johnstown, 3124 Elton Road; Makin’ Waves Hair Salon and Nail Studio, 513 Scalp Ave.; Valley Printing & Design,

667 Main St.; M&M’s Hair Design, 438 Goucher St.; Heritage Discovery Center, 201 6th Ave.; and Hot Off The Presses, lower level in The Galleria.

Also, Somerset Trust Co., Goucher Street and downtown Johnstown offices; Kaza Equipment Co., 155 Lovell Ave., Ebensburg; and WTAJ-TV 10, 5000 6th Ave., Altoona.

The drive will run through Dec. 18.
