Richland Township police are reviewing surveillance video and asking the public for help in identifying the man who held up a sporting goods store Tuesday night.
The robber, whose appearance was disguised by a blue sweatshirt hood and green face mask, entered Gander Mountain on Galleria Drive and demanded that an employee open a store register, then reached in and pulled out cash and checks, police Chief Michael Burgan said.
The man did not display a weapon and no one was injured in the incident, Burgan said.
The robber fled the store around 8:30 p.m., just moments after he entered by the front door.
Burgan said the robbery was brazen, considering the amount of weapons and ammunition at Gander Mountain.
Images released by Richland police show a white man in a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
Police have posted the photos on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/richlandpd.
They also are asking people to call the Cambria County 911 center at 800-281-1680 if they may have information that could lead to the robber’s arrest.
