EBENSBURG – A Johnstown man pleaded guilty in connection with a June shooting that occurred after an alleged drug deal went awry at a Kernville home.
Jonathan Craddock, 23, of Beech Street, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault, Cambria County District Attorney Kelly Callihan’s office confirmed.
Craddock had been charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and several weapons charges in the June 11 incidents.
He was accused of firing a shotgun at Clifford Gilbert, striking him in an arm, while inside a residence in the 600 block of Thomas Avenue in the city’s Kernville section.
Gilbert was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in JohnsÂtown, where he was treated and later released.
City police later apprehended Craddock at a Messenger Street home, where he surrendered after his alleged accomplice, John Lattimer, 33, held a swarm of police at bay for several hours before surrendering to authorities.
