An Allegheny Township home was heavily damaged by fire early Monday and the cause remains undetermined, Cresson fire Chief John Briel said.
The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze at the house in the 1100 block of St. Joseph Street.
The fire broke out about 3:05 a.m. prompting the response from volunteers of eight Mainline and central Cambria volunteer fire companies.
No injuries were reported and the name of the home’s owner was unavailable, Briel said.
The house, located near the Cresson Borough line in the area of the Cresson Sportman’s club, is 30 to 40 years old.
The fire destroyed most of the roof, but the structure possibly can be repaired, the chief said.
