A Philadelphia man who allegedly came to Johnstown to sell drugs is behind bars.

Brahin Lloyd, 23, was wanted by Philadelphia police after he failed to appear in court on charges of selling drugs.

Johnstown police arrested Lloyd on Thursday at Ohio Street and Park Avenue.

Police said Lloyd was carrying 10 bags of suspected heroin in his jacket pocket.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lloyd was arraigned by District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi of Vinco, the on-call magis-trate, and sent to Cambria County Prison on $50,000 bond.

Court records show the 6-foot-9 inch, 200-pound Lloyd has a violent criminal history in Philadelphia County that includes aggravated assault and robbery.

A Johnstown woman also told authorities that Lloyd was the man who assaulted her and burglarized her home a few weeks ago, according to a court document.

No charges have been filed in that incident.
