Robbers smashed into a Bedford Street home early Friday, firing shots and terrorizing the four occupants, police said.

Police were called to the home invasion robbery in the 500 block of Bedford Street just after 3 a.m., Johnstown police Chief Craig Faust said.

An older woman in the home told police she was awakened by a sound near the front door.

Then at least two men stormed into her bedroom, asking where the money was.

“They told her to roll over and cover up with a blanket,” Faust said.

She heard others enter a nearby room, occupied by a man, a woman and a 1-year-old baby.

“She heard several shots being fired in the house,” he said.

No one was hurt, and police are not releasing details about anything stolen. Detectives were on the scene Friday, processing the home for evidence.

Several bullet holes were found in the home’s floors and ceilings, Faust said.

Suspects are described as black males, wearing black sweatshirts with hoods pulled up.
