An Erie man turned himself in Tuesday in connection with an assault that landed the victim in the trauma unit of a Pittsburgh hospital.

Markus Graham turned himself in at district court in Homer City on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment. Indiana police said Graham was released after posting $10,000 bond.

Police said they responded to an assault in the 600 block of Washington Street about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim – who was not identified – was struck in the face with a 20-inch torque wrench and suffered a severe head injury, police said.
