I was somewhat astounded to read Jim Vasilko’s outrageous diatribe in the Reader’s Forum on May 27, “Dems sending nation down wrong path.”

He seems to have accepted every ridiculous conspiracy theory that has come down the pike and swallowed whole the moronic notions spouted by extreme right-wing commentators.

Of course, Vasilko has the right to say anything he wants by virtue of the First Amendment to the Constitution. However, one would think that at least occasionally he would actually make a truthful statement. That does not seem to be the case.

After carefully examining his letter, I could not find even one sentence that was truthful.

Perhaps, he has taken up the approach of the president, namely, say anything that comes into your head whether you believe it or not because it will at least get someone’s attention.
