Mount Aloysius College and Conemaugh Health System will conduct the initial “The Art of Healing – Reflection 2014” from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the college’s Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center.
“The Art of Healing” will include exhibits, demonstrations and a reception. The artwork was created by artists from Conemaugh’s Arts for Healing Program under the guidance of a resident artist sponsored by Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art.
Event highlights will include exhibits from local artists.
Several regional artists will be on hand to display and discuss their work, including Katie Buchanan, Rebecca Castiglione, Sharon Davidhizar, Sandra Dayton, Rose Marie Gordon, Loretta Holsopple, Regina Karol, Rita King, Patti Kristoff, Jo Anne Luberto, Janet Marchegiani, Cindy Slaventa and Anna Marie Wirfel.
The event is free and open to the public.
