Cambria County property taxes will be going up 2.6 mills next year, resulting in an increase of $30.50 in the bill of the average residential property owner in the county.
The commissioners made the announcement today as they unveiled that proposed budget of $148.4 million, an increase of 4 percent over this year.
The average homeowner currently is paying $320 a year under the current millage rate.
The budget is open for public display starting Friday in the commissioners' office at the courthouse. It’s scheduled for adoption Dec. 30.
