The leadership team at Cambria County Christian School recently attended a conference at Harvey Cedars Conference Center in Harvey Cedars, N.J.

The team is made up of members of the student body.

They are Hope Raslevich, freshman; Denise Page, sophomore; Adam Ciner, Ben Knapic, Jeremiah Swartz and Zachariah Swartz, juniors; and Amber Keppler, Matthew Litzinger, Briana Maykovich, Kody Miller, Jillian Raslevich and Ashley Simasek, seniors.

Teachers Kathy Wagner and Bonnie Berkebile and Christopher Swartz, a parent, are the team’s advisers.

At the conference, the leadership team made a list of suggestions for possible changes at the school.

One of the ideas was to change chapels and reach out more to the community.

For the chapel, it was decided to move from the church sanctuary to a small area that gave a more reverent feeling.

To reach out to the community, the team is planning to hold an Easter egg hunt for the younger children in the communities surrounding the school.

The team is working on more ideas to strengthen the school’s ties to the community.

To date, the changes that the leadership team suggested are working.
