LEVENTRY – Shirley J., 77, of Richland Township, passed away on March 15, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center. Born on April 25, 1930, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Walter C. and Alice E. (Marsh) Miller. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Kimberly, wife of P. Jeffrey Mock, Richland; Suellen Narducci, Chester, Conn.; Amy, wife of George Sfakios, Southwick, Mass.; and Lizbeth, wife of Gregory Woollaston, New Paris; grandchildren, Constantino and Sophia Sfakios; Benjamin and Zachary Woollaston; and Shelby Narducci; sister, Elaine Goebert, Westmont; nieces, Nancy Ferris and Sally Hartman; great- nephew, Joshua Retzloff; and a very special companion, Robert “Bob” Meiklejohn, Johnstown. Shirley was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Cambria-Rowe Business College and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She was a former employee of Allegheny Lutheran Ministries, where she was an office manager. Shirley was a former member of the Johnstown Symphony, where she played the trumpet. She was active in her community serving in various capacities, such as volunteering for the American Red Cross and serving on the election board at Precinct No. 2. Shirley was a charter member of the East Hills Recreation Commission. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. Shirley was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Rev. David Streets officiating. Private family interment will be held at Richland Cemetery.
