HEVERLY – Ronald G. Sr., 73, Midlothian, Va., passed away June 11, 2008, at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1934, in Windber, the son of the late Paul W. and Alice J. (Johnson) Heverly. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Agnes M. (Amis) Heverly; children, Jack, Denver, N.C.; Ronald (Michele), Wrightstown, Pa., and Paul, Holland, Pa.; six grandchildren; sister, Esther, wife of Richard Davis, St. Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ronald was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Jack (Edith) Heverly of Johnstown; nephew, Richard Davis Jr. of Johnstown; and an infant granddaughter, Meghan. Ronald was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Salisbury Country Club and the Salisbury Senior Men’s Association. He was an avid golfer and a lifelong hunter and fisherman. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Virginia Cancer Institute of Midlothian, to the Bon Secours Hospice, to the staff at the Midlothian Wal-mart and to many friends at the Salisbury Country Club. In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, 5875 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226.
