Mary Louise (Wachs) Hayes

HAYES – Mary Louise (Wachs), 91, Oakland, passed away Dec. 12, 2008, at Country Manor, Jerome. She was born April 3, 1917, in Johnstown. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hayes. She is survived by her sons, Charles E. Hayes, Erie, and Ronald D. Hayes, Richland Township; daughters, Nancy, wife of John Carrier, Johnstown, and Judy, wife of Ken Fleegle, West Palm Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church and Oakland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a hard worker, wonderful mother and a born again Christian. A private family service will be held at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
