DEIBERT – John P. “Jack,” 69, of Westmont, died Jan. 5, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born June 19, 1938, in Johnstown, son of John H. and Edna Mae (Bender) Deibert. Preceded in death by parents and brother, James, in infancy. Survived by wife, the former Lois Love, whom he married May 22, 1965; and children, Christine, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Paul, married to the former Ann Kopas, Pittsburgh; and Douglas, married to the former Rainy McGrew, Alameda, Calif.; and grandchildren, Jeremy, Samuel, Lola and Logan Deibert. Brother of Mary Ann Weaver, Westmont, and Thomas G., married to the former Joyce May Brown, Riverside. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where he was active in the men’s club. Member of Johnstown Elks and K. of C. Board member of Mom’s House Inc. and avid Pitt Panthers fan. He was the past owner and operator of Deibert’s Deli for 23 years. He served in the Army Reserves. He was an insurance agent and financial advisor for New York Life. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Rev. Martin A. Cingle. Committal, Richland Mausoleum.
