DYAK – George, 79, of Richland Township, died Nov. 3, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 13, 1928, in Johnstown, son of Andrew and Julia (Fedorko) Dyak Ramach. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew and Michael, John Ramach Jr. and Charles Ramach; and sisters, Ann Pavlik, Ann Schrott and Julie Adamchik. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, the former Helen Amadei; sons, Ronald, Australia; Gary, San Diego; and daughter, Jamie, wife of Dave Ingraham, South Carolina; grandchildren, Lee and Allyse Ingraham. Also survived by stepchildren, Pamela, wife of Gary Crawford and Robert Pavlick; stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Derek Crawford; and Amanda and Ben Pavlick; sister, Mary, wife of Don Komensky; and brother, Joseph (Kaye) Ramach, South Carolina. Also many nieces and nephews and friends. George loved his football, baseball and oh how he enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada, and the friends over the years that went with him. He played in the all-Navy Softball World Series in 1947, played semi-pro football for the Johnstown Rams, refereed college and high school baseball and football and evaluated football officials for the PIAA for 10 years. Former president of PIAA Johnstown Baseball and Football Chapter. George was a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel Corp. electrical department for 20 years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Committal will take place at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to the family to offset medical expenses.
