Revival services scheduled for today
Abundant Life Ministry will hold its second annual Citywide Revival from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. today in Central Park, downtown Johnstown, with revivalists from Abundant Life Ministry and Works of Deliverance Fellowship.
A youth hour will be held from 2 to 3 p.m.

Churches will hold vacation Bible school
The following churches will hold vacation Bible school:
Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1008 Graham Ave., Windber, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Friday for ages 3 through adult.
The theme will be Outrigger Island.
A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will kick off the week.
Registration will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. today, with the tournament following at 10:30.

Boswell New Life Church of the Nazarene, Main Street Extension, from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Sundays through Aug. 10 for children ages 4 through 14.
The theme will be “Be a Star on God’s Team of Champions” and will feature a pancake breakfast, games, crafts, music, Bible studies and a free Bible.

Faith Chapel, 730 Sunberry St., Johnstown, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for children ages 4 through grade 12. The classes will feature music and crafts.

Stahl Mennonite Church, 1201 Soap Hollow Road, Johnstown, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for children ages 3 through grade 6.
The theme will be Almost Heaven.
Lake Rowena to host week of tent revival
A tent revival will be held at 7 p.m. today through July 19 at Lake Rowena in Ebensburg. A memorial service for all who have died from drugs will be held on Tuesday with Joan Rathe and her daughter, Riva Novack from Massachusetts teaching and ministering about additions.

Guest ministers slated for Brethren church
Shade Creek-Ridge Church of the Brethren will have the Rev. Charles “Chuck” Statler as the guest minister for the Sunday and July 20 worship service and the Rev. Mike Swick for the July 27 worship service.
The Rev. Dottie Grew will be the guest minister for the Brethren’s 300th anniversary worship service on Aug. 3.
Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship service at 10:30.
Arbutus preacher to speak at Roxbury
The Rev. George E. Feathers Sr., an ordained minister from Arbutus Church of the Brethren, will be the guest minister at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Roxbury Church of the Brethren, 112 Sell St.
His sermon, “Charting Our Course for Sure,” is based on Philippians 2:12-13.
Carol Aiuppy, guest soloist, will provide the music, “Revelation Song.” Walter Fieser will be the guest pianist.
Indiana County will hold hymn sing Sunday
Indiana County Hymn Sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Purchase Line United Methodist Church, Commodore.
Worship center hosting annual picnic
Spring Meadow Family Worship Center in Fishertown will hold its annual community picnic at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shawnee at the East Beach Pavilion, followed by water baptism at 4.
Chicken and drinks will be provided and a covered dish is welcome.

Singer to perform at Belmont church
Tom Cohenour, a Christian country singer from Mahaffey, Clearfield County, will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., Johnstown.

Teacher in Cambodia to share experiences
Polly Yoder of Hollsopple will share her experience of Cambodia at 7 p.m. Sunday at Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas Mills, with music by the David Yoder family.
She recently came home for a two-month leave and will be returning to Cambodia for the next school year. She taught kindergarten at Logos International School, which is run by Asian Hope.
Asian Hope reaches out to orphans in Cambodia.
She is the daughter of Adrian and Lois Yoder of Hollsopple.
Concert scheduled at Windber church
Soul’D Out will hold a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Windber Church of God, 2400 Jackson Ave.

Claysburg church appoints new pastor
The Rev. Ronald Bashore has accepted the call to become pastor of Claysburg Church of the Brethren effective Wednesday.
He and his wife, Linda, came from Mount Wilson Church of the Brethren in Annville, Lebanon County. They have three children and a granddaughter.
A formal installation service will be held July 20, with the Rev. David Steele of Huntingdon, Middle Pennsylvania District executive, officiating.
A meal, hosted by the church, will follow the service.
The church is located one block north of Claysburg High School.
Friday evening healing service scheduled
A healing and miracle service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Fountain of Life Full Gospel Church, 225 Second St., Johnstown.
