Roxbury Church of the Brethren will hold its 12th annual outdoor worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church grove, Route 985, Somerset Pike.
The Rev. Brian N. Simmons, pastor, will speak on “Parable of the Sower,” based on Matthew 13: 1-9.
Claire Montoya will play the recorder.
A covered-dish dinner/picnic will follow.

Wesley UM service to feature cantata
The chancel choir of Wesley United Methodist Church, Main and Church streets, South Fork, will present “God Bless the USA,” arranged by Russell Mauldin, during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service.
The service will celebrate our nation’s independence and pay tribute to members of the armed forces, the flag and the Lord.
Bethel Park Holiness sets camp meeting
Bethel Park Holiness Camp will hold its 103rd meeting Wednesday through July 20.
The camp meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with an evangelistic service.
Evangelists are H. Glenn Spann of Wilmore, Ky., and the Rev. Paul L. Thompson of Cloe, Jefferson County.
The Rev. Larry and Tamla Leckrone of Kurtz, Ind., will be the song-evangelist.
The missionaries are the Rev. Allen and Grace Claycomb of Virginia.
The service schedule is a Bible study at 9:15 a.m., followed by a preaching service at 10:30. An evangelistic service will be held at 7:30 nightly.
Senior youth camp, for those who are going into sixth grade and older, will meet from Wednesday through noon on July 20.
Junior camp, for children who have completed kindergarten and going into fifth grade, will meet from Wednesday through noon on July 13.
A supervised children’s program will be available from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. for children younger than junior camp age.
Rod Horner will present a concert at 6 p.m. July 13 and March Forth Quartet of Mechanicsburg will perform on July 20. A love offering will be received at both concerts.
The camp is located on Reynoldsdale Road, east of Route 56, Bedford County.

Vacation Bible school on tap at Shiloh Baptist
Shiloh Baptist Church, 639 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, will hold vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. July 14-18.
A closing program will be held on July 18.

Mini retreat planned for women
“Emptying Your Cup: Finding Peace through Letting Go,” a three-hour mini retreat for women, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 16 at the Family Life Office, 5379 Portage St., Lilly.
The retreat, sponsored by the Family Life Office of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese, will offer a sacred environment, a morning of spiritual renewal, a journal and spiritual reading.
The cost is $15 per person and a friend is $5 more.
Participants should bring a covered dish and a coffee cup.
Deadline to register is Friday.
