Religion in brief | Berlin church to hold confirmation

Confirmation will be held during the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 Main St., Berlin.

Church will honor grads, new members

Moxham Church of the Brethren, 536 Grove Ave., Johnstown, will honor its high school graduates and new members of the congregation during the 10:10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Rev. William Wenger’s message, “Following the Narrow Road: Standing on the Solid Rock,” is based on Matthew 7:21-29.

Hymn sing Sunday in Confluence

Indiana County hymn sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fountain of Life Church, New Florence.

Abundant Life Ministry sets service

Abundant Life Ministry will hold its second annual Brothers United Service at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Sanoma Salon at the Holiday Inn, 250 Market St., downtown Johnstown.

Minister Elmo Sampson of Works of Deliverence Fellowship will be the inspirational messenger and Elder Allen Johnson of Trinity Church of God in Christ, McKeesport, Allegheny County, is the gospel messenger.

Pastor to speak at Thomas Mills church

Frank Young, pastor of Tire Hill Church of the Brethren, will speak at the Thomas Mennonite Church in Thomas Mills at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Children of the church will present special music.

Vacation Bible school set in Westmont

Christ Lutheran Church of Westmont will hold vacation Bible school – “Rainforest Adventure” – from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Children ages 3 through sixth grade are invited to attend.

The churches of the West End will hold a hymn sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cambria City Mission, 906 Broad St., Johnstown.
