Women’s Day slated at BCK Ministries
BCK Ministries will host a Women’s Day of Refreshing today for all women 18 years old and older.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., with a time for fellowship and registration beginning one hour prior to each service.
The Rev. Beth Button, pastor of Beach Family Worship Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C., will talk about “Kingdom Intimacy.”
She has a desire to see God’s people walking in the fulfillment of all he has for them.
The Rev. Dick Button, also a pastor of Beach Family Worship Center, will preach during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.
The church is located at 1723 Scalp Ave., Johnstown.
Thomas Mennonite sets revival services
Thomas Mennonite Church, Saylor School Road, Thomas Mills, will hold revival services beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and continuing each evening through Wednesday at 7.
The Rev. John G. Landis of Lebanon will speak on “Faithfulness – God’s Way.” He has pastored for more than 30 years at the Gingrichs Mennonite Church and has been a Bible teacher at Lancaster Mennonite School and has ministered in Wales, Ontario and Belize.

Way of Hope will hold services
Way of Hope Christian Fellowship will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday at Beka House, 5977 Somerset Pike, with contemporary and traditional music and a time of fellowship.
The Rev. Rob Rummel, pastor, will deliver the message on worship.

Appreciation service at Abundant Life
Abundant Life Ministry House of Prayer will hold an appreciation service on behalf of its pastor, Theresa A. Jones, at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Elder Joseph Jones of Pilgrim Church of God in Christ will speak.
At the 4 p.m. service, special guests will be the Undenominational House of God, Bishop David March and congregation.

Stahl Mennonite Church, 1201 Soap Hollow Road, Johnstown, will hold renewal meetings at 7 tonight and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday.
Beau Hummel of Walnut Creek, Ohio, will speak.
Special service at Conemaugh Brethren
A “Get Out of Your Boat” service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Conemaugh Church of the Brethren, 1256 William Penn Ave., Johnstown.
Members of the church will conduct and lead the service.
A service of water Baptism and a covered-dish luncheon will follow.
St. James schedules anniversary services
The Rev. Ralph E. Johnson’s 16th anniversary celebration will begin with a cake social following the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 400 Pine St. in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Gladys Myers and Praise Center Community Church and at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Sylvia King and Christ Center Community Mission.
Belsano UM hosting shelter shower
The Belsano United Methodist Church of the Bright Hope Parish, 3752 Ben Frank-lin Highway, Route 422, will hold a shelter shower for the Women’s Help Center of Johnstown at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Women attending the event are asked to bring a gift from the wish list – women, boys and girls socks, underwear, sweatpants, T-shirts, feminine-care items and personal-care products – and enjoy an inspirational message, games, food, prizes and music by harpist Mary Lieb.
Cathedral to host annual choir festival
Bridge of Hope’s third annual choir festival will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, 117 Clinton St., downtown Johnstown.
The festival will feature congregational choirs from the Johnstown area.
There will be a free-will offering to benefit the mission of Bridge Hope of the Laurel Highlands.
Refreshments and fellowship will follow.
Guest speaker at Mount Sinai service
A post-anniversary service for the Rev. and Mrs. Jeremiah Hunter of Mount Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, 111 Cambria St., East Conemaugh, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Walter Cherry, pastor of Belmont Christian Church in Canonsburg, Washington County, will be the guest messenger.
‘Women of the Bible’ at First Mennonite
Luella Krieger of Sykesville, Jefferson County, will present “Women of the Bible” during the 5 p.m. Sunday worship service at First Mennonite Church, 705 Somerset St. in the Kernville section of Johnstown.
Revival, hymn sing at Ridge Brethren
Ridge Church of the Brethren on Ridge Road will hold a spring revival and hymn sing at 6:45 p.m. Sunday and Monday with the Revs. John and Linda Stoner, evangelists.
Chickaree Union will host concert
A concert featuring Robert and Miranda Morehead with Barry will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at Chickaree Union Church, 476 Whitetail Road, Johnstown.
Vatican II series at St. Rochus
The Education Committee of St. Rochus Roman Catholic Church, Chestnut Street and Eighth Avenue in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, has scheduled a series of presentations concerning Vatican II.
The series, “The Life in the Spirit: Recalling Vatican II in the Life of the Church,” will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 27 and May 5 in the church hall.
The Rev. Charles M. Amershek Jr., pastor, will be the presenter. Books on Vatican II will be issued to participants.
Donations are welcome to help defray costs of the program.

Organ music featured at First Lutheran
John Sittard, organist, will present a program during a recital series at noon Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St. in downtown Johnstown.
A luncheon will follow.
