Worship seminar today in Somerset
The Western Pennsylvania Church of the Brethren Spiritual Formation Team in cooperation with Somerset Church of the Brethren will host a worship seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the church, 606 Berlin Plank Road.
Author Tom Kraeuter of St. Louis will speak.
There is a nominal registration fee.

Minister will lead renewal services
The Rev. Joel Hershey, pastor of Blue Ball Church of the Brethren, will lead spring renewal services at 10 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at Berkey Church of the Brethren, 1038 Church Drive, Windber.
Preservice singing will begin at 6:45 nightly.
Nursery will be provided.
Way of Hope to meet at Beka House
Way of Hope Christian Fellowship will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday at Beka House, 5977 Somerset Pike.
The Rev. Rob Rummel, pastor, will lead the worship.
The Lenten message will be delivered by Diana Rok.
Items and donations are still being collected for the hygiene kits for Church World Service. Individually wrapped toothbrushes will be collected Sunday.

Hymn sing set for Sunday in Indiana
Indiana County hymn sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Maple Grove Church of God.
Abundant Life holding ‘Sing Children Sing’
Abundant Life Ministry will present its first Gospel Explosion, “Sing Children Sing,” at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Holiday Inn, Napa Salon, 250 Market St., downtown Johnstown.
Guests include Congregational COGIC Praise Team, Works of Deliverance Fellowship, Praise Center Ministries, and the Children of Light.
Lenten service Sunday in Westmont
The Johnstown area Church of the Brethren Lenten service will begin at 6:45 p.m. Sunday with a hymn sing at Westmont Church of the Brethren, 2301 Sunshine Ave.
The service will begin at 7 with the Rev. Guy L. Myers, pastor of Conemaugh Church of the Brethren, speaking on “Do You Love Me More Than These?”
A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at 8.
Faith Chapel sets revival services
Roy McLaughlin will lead revival/evangelistic services at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at Faith Chapel, 730 Sunberry St., Johnstown.
McLaughlin has been pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Swartz Creek, Mich., since 1992.
He, and his wife, Neva, have four sons and six grandchildren.

Hooversville church plans revival services
Revival services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Hooversville Church of the Brethren, 195 Lohr St.
A hymn sing/gathering will begin at 7:15 nightly.
The Rev. Peter C. Kaltenbaugh, pastor of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, will be the guest minister.
The Rev. John Eash will be host pastor.
Monday’s topic will be “Earthen Vessels,” based on 2 Corinthians 4:4-12, with music by the host choir.
Tuesday will be “Arise My Love,” with scripture from the Song of Songs (Solomon) and music by Patty Locher and Karen Mains.
Wednesday’s topic will be “Just How Long Is Forever,” based on appropriate scriptures with music from the Ridge Church of the Brethren choir.
Kaltenbaugh, a native of Somerset County, is married to the former Janice Brougher, who is director of Camp Harmony near Hooversville.
Shiloh Baptist schedules services
The Rev. Stephen Daniel of Mount Rise Baptist Church, Homestead, Allegheny County, will preach during a celebration service at 4 p.m. March 16 honoring the 11th pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Theodore Tisinger, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, 639 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.
The choir and congregation of Mount Rise Baptist Church also will attend.
The Rev. Samuel Hart of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church will preach at 11 a.m. March 16, followed by a dinner.
Pre-anniversary services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Bishop David March of the Undenominational House of God as guest preacher; 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Andrew Tilly of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church as guest preacher; and 7 p.m. Thursday with Elder Stanford Webb of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Indiana as guest preacher.
Lenten service Wednesday in Berlin
The congregations of Holy Trinity, Berlin Brethren, Trinity United Church of Christ and Three Seasons Community Church will hold a Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 600 Main St., Berlin.
First UM to hold demonstration
A demonstration of the rebuilt Austin pipe organ will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church, 436 Vine St., Johnstown.
E. Thomas Ferguson, the church’s music director, will perform a short concert, along with providing a demonstration of the organ’s many features and answering questions.
A free-will offering will be received.
Pre-anniversary service at St. James
A pre-anniversary service for the Rev. Ralph E. Johnson Sr., pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 400 Pine St., Johnstown, will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Bishop Arthur Hardison, pastor of Works of Deliverance Fellowship, will be the guest pastor.
Morning Star to hold family skating
The Light House Morning Star Ministries in Cherry Tree will sponsor family skating from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Indiana Skating Rink.
Admission is $2 and includes skates.

Spring Meadow women planning celebration
The women of Spring Meadow Family Worship Center in Fishertown will hold a night of celebration with a service, special music and flag presentation at 7 p.m. Friday.
