BLACKBURN - Margaret G. (Barefoot), 91, 207 Ottawa St., formerly of Lincoln Lee Apartments, died May 4, 2006, at Arbutus Park Manor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, in the Geisel-Devlin Memorial Chapel, 734 Bedford St., Dale, the Rev. Tom Verner. Interment, Richland Cemetery.

GROVES - I. Duane "Jerry," 79, Johnstown, died May 6, 2006. HARBER - Gilbert F.
HARBER - Gilbert F. "Butch," of Keyser, W.Va., 95, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Born in Coalport on Aug. 27, 1910, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Clarkson) Harber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Shawn Harber; two sisters and three brothers: Ruth Cusick, Rita Koontz, Clair Harber, Chester Harber and Bernard Harber. Mr. Harber was a butcher by trade, retiring from the Atlantic Pacific Tea Company in 1972. After his retirement, he owned and operated the Berlin Foodrite with his son, Michael, until his final retirement at age 85. He was an active member of the Church of the Assumption and Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Betty (Turner) Harber; his two sons, Joseph F. Harber, and wife, Regina, Salem, S.C., and G. Michael Harber, and wife, Melody, Berlin; his two daughters, M. Susan Harber and Rita Jean Harber, with whom he resided; and one sister, Betty Harris of Falls Church, Va. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and survived by six, Patrick Harber, and wife, Terri, Mount Holly, N.J.; Michael Harber, and wife, Belinda, Virginia Beach, Va.; Cathy Shifflett, and husband, Craig, Pittsburgh; Scott Harber, and wife, Anne, Charlotte, S.C.; Heather LaRue, and husband, Carl, Leesburg, Va.; Nichol Harber, Metchen, N.J.; and nine very precious great-grandchildren that include four girls: Megan Harber, Rachel Shifflett, Alison Shifflett and Madison LaRue; and five boys, Anthony Harber, Brian Harber, Austin Harber, Riley Harber and Ethan Harber. Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, W.Va., on Friday, May 12, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Keyser, on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R., as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Keyser. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Cemetery Committee, 34 James St., Keyser, W.Va. 26726 or American Cancer Society, 122 S. HILLEGAS - Chester Glenn, 93, Johnstown, passed away May 11, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 14, 1913, in Schellsburg, son of the late Russell and Carrie (Noon) Hillegas. Preceded in death by first wife, Marian (Landers); second wife, Kathleen E. (King); brothers, Millard and Gomer; and infant brother and sister. Survived by children, Lowell, married to the former Judy Martinec, Johnstown, and Alice, Windber. Also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Last surviving member of his immediate family. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. No services will be held at the request of the family.
HOBAR - Virginia P.
HOBAR - Virginia P., 80, of Marshalls Creek, Pa., passed away peacefully at home after a long illness, on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, with Steven, her beloved husband of 54 years, at her side. Born Nov. 17, 1925, in State College, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Glenn and Mary Hope (Patton) Parkinson. Virginia was a graduate of State College High School, Brown's Business School of New York and of Penn State College, where she majored in Liberal Arts and was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She raised five loving sons, Stephen Glenn (who preceded her in death in 1976), Donald Patton, Jon Parkinson, Robert Jeffrey and James Edwin. "Nini," as she was affectionately known by all, was a kind and gentle person with a quick wit, who lit up any room she entered with her poise, charm and smile. She enjoyed literature, the arts, skiing, bowling, cooking and more than anything else, being a devoted mother to her five sons. Surviving in addition to her lifelong love, Steven, are sons, Donald; Jon, and his wife, Patricia; James, and his wife, Marcia; and Robert; sister, Anna Hope Overholts; four beautiful grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Jamey and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Glenn, who passed away in 1976; brothers and sisters, John Patton, Alice Jane, Harry Glenn Jr. and Edwin Woodrow. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery, Cambria #5 section, the Rev. John Manges officiating. Moskal Funeral Home, West End, is in charge of arrangements.

KLINK - Olga, 77, of the West End, died May 11, 2006. Born Aug. 5, 1928, in the Ukraine, daughter of Peter and Erena Rachoski. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, John Iezaru; second husband, Vasile Fuliea; and third husband, Joseph J. Klink. Survived by children, John Iezaru of Lathrope, Calif.; Connie Kapcsos of Johnstown; Irene, married to Ernest Jaber Jr., of Johnstown; Alex Fulicea of Michigan; and son-in-law, Richard Kapcsos; grandchildren, Illicia, Adam and Amber Kapcsos; Ernest Jaber III, Eron Jaber and Alexandria Fulicea; and seven great-grandchildren. A sister of Anna Manderik of the Ukraine. Also survived by best friends, Louise and George Kosuth, Millie and Charlie Hinterliter and Loretta Sefcik, and numerous other friends and family. Olga always gave of herself, and always had a kind word, thought and even a smile to all those whom she talked to. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Olga was a World War II survivor of the prison camps. After arriving in America, she was employed at the Chrysler Motor Corp. and then at Bestform Industries, from where she retired. A member of the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church at 111 Alberta Ave. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where Trisagion Prayers will be held on Monday morning at 9:30, followed by Funeral Service at the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, the Very Rev. Donald E. Shadid. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church Building Fund, in memory of Olga Klink. REDDECLIFF - Patricia Ann (Gombar), of Johnstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 6, 2006. She was a member of St. Clement's Church, where she was active in the choir. Patricia was also a member of Our Mother Of Sorrows Parish in more recent years. Patricia was born on Aug. 18, 1941, to Stephen and Helen Gombar. Patty was a very caring, giving and loving person. Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Patty loved her six grandchildren, riding her Harley, gardening and animals. She will be greatly missed. Patty was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Gombar. Patty is survived by her mother, Helen Gombar, Johnstown; daughter, Carole, wife of Noel Caruso, Lancaster; sons, Thomas, husband of Stacy Burns, Springfield, Ill.; Brian, husband of Cheri Magda, Upper St. Clair, Pa.; and Steven, husband of Debbie Arnold, Enid, Okla.; grandchildren, Zachary, Chace, Brina, Bayley, Nikolas and Alysa; brother, Ronald Gombar, husband of Lenora Cable, Pittsburgh; sister, Rita Williams, wife of Richard Williams, Asheville, N.C.; brother, Raymond Gombar, husband of Janet Zimmerman, Upper St. Clair. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, Tioga Street, Johnstown. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for all the loving care Patty received from various caregivers in the home. SLIKO - Andrew Victor, "Vic," 78, Country Inn Road, South Fork, died May 9, 2006, at home. Born March 27, 1928, in South Fork, son of Walter and Catherine (Skibo) Sliko. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Viola J. (Dobrowolsky) Sliko, who died Sept. 23, 1978; infant daughter, Mary Ann; sisters, Mary Orlosky, Florence L. Sliko and Helen Muchinsky; brothers, John, Joseph "Lefty," Frank "Funchie," Stanley Sr. "Tucka" and Constantine "Katz." Survived by children: Valerie Ann Wilson, South Fork; Victor G., married to Carmen Ann (Barone), Lititz; Terence M., married to Brenda (Peifer), Johnstown; and Evette, at home; grandchildren, Lori Ann; Derek, married to Nicole (Hoke); Jennifer; Michelle; Carey; and Cody; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sliko, South Fork; and numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses. Vic was the last surviving member of his family. He retired from the Gautier 11-inch mill of Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. Vic enjoyed and loved his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed walking in the woods with his dogs and picking mushrooms that he shared with everyone. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Robert P. Reese. Committal, St. James Cemetery.
