The Richland High School marching band and local political leaders joined hundreds of family members and friends today to greet the 80 soldiers returning after nine months of active duty in Iraq.
Police cars and emergency vehicles with sirens blaring accompanied the three buses carrying troops.

“Thank you for putting your lives on hold,” Maj. Gen. Jessica Wright, adjutant general of Pennsylvania National Guard, told the troops.
“To the families: You are our heroes,” she said. “You get us through the hard times and you celebrate the great times. Thank you for what you have done for the Pennsylvania National Guard and for this country.”
