A total of 50 Somerset County 4-H’ers recently received awards at 4-H Achievement Days at Penn State.

Winners have been announced in the third annual undergraduate research symposium at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson.
More than 155 presenters and 74 posters were featured.
The winners are:
Creative: Diane McCall of Summerhill, first place; and Derek Woodside of Cherry Tree, second place.
Health studies and sciences, primary research: Emily McKenna of Tyrone, Janelle Koontz of Stoystown and Lindsey Bush of Altoona, all first place; and Christina Garman of Gallitzin, Donna Kauffman of Altoona, Kathryn Kuskoski of Elmora and Richelle Sandford of Windber, all second place.
Health studies and sciences, secondary research: Danielle Adams of Dilltown, first place; and Terry Madigan of Wilmore, Paul Greiner of Tyrone and Brittany Yohn of Martinsburg, all second place.
