Joy Schrift, Michael Pachucki

Ronald and Gail Schrift of New Germany have announced the engagement of their daughter, Joy Marie, to CPT Michael Pachucki, son of Richard and Angela Pachucki of Derwood, Md.

Miss Schrift is a graduate of Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg, and Pennsylvania State University.

She is employed by Concurrent Technologies Corp. as an instructional designer.

CPT Pachucki is a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and Duquesne University.

CPT Pachucki received his Army commission through the University of Pittsburgh ROTC program.

He is assigned to the 1st Infantry Division and is currently serving in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A May 15 wedding is planned.
