John and Diane Zaia of Medfield, Mass., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kim, to Jim Salvia, son of Jim Salvia of Johnstown and Christine Salvia of Middle Taylor Township.
Miss Zaia is a graduate of Princeton University.
She is a doctoral candidate in neuroscience at Stanford University.
Mr. Salvia is a graduate of Bishop McCort High School and Carnegie Mellon University.
He is a doctoral candidate in electrical engineering at Stanford University.
A summer 2009 wedding is planned in Massachusetts.
