Grafe couple note 50th date

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grafe of Paint Borough have noted their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Chestnut Ridge, Blairsville.

Mr. Grafe and the former Joan Howard were married Oct. 10, 1959, at the Moxham Church of the Brethren, Johnstown, by the Rev. John D. Ellis.

Mr. Grafe was born in Johnstown, son of the late Edward and Ethel Grafe.

Mrs. Grafe was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Irvin and Mollie Howard.

Mr. and Mrs. Grafe are 1956 graduates of Johnstown High School. Mrs. Grafe is a 1959 graduate of Windber Hospital School of Nursing.

Mr. Grafe retired as a roll shop foreman from Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp.

Mrs. Grafe retired as a registered nurse supervisor at the Church of the Brethren Home.

They are the parents of two daughters: Marsha, wife of Robert Swansboro, Rich-land Township, and Cynthia, wife of David Bailey, Paint Township.

There are three grandchildren: Breana and Nathan Bailey and Ashley Swansboro.
