Louders celebrate golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. R. Charles Louder of South Fork have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a vow reaffirmation ceremony at First United Methodist Church, South Fork, performed by Pastor Paul Morris. A dinner party for family and friends followed the ceremony.

Mr. Louder and the former Ruth G. Frazer were married Sept. 13, 1958, at Evangelical United Brethren Church, South Fork, by the Rev. Fern Barner.

Mr. Louder was born May 21, 1936, son of the late Eugene and Jane Louder.

Mrs. Louder was born Oct. 21, 1938, daughter of the late Glenn and Mary Jane Frazer and stepdaughter of the late Verna Frazer.

Mr. Louder attended the former Adams Township High School and served in the Army.

He is retired from Sani-Dairy.

Mr. Louder enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mrs. Louder graduated from the former South Fork-Croyle High School and attended Cambria-Rowe Business College.

She is retired from the Boy Scouts of America, Penns Woods Council.

Mrs. Louder enjoys bowling, crocheting, baking and cooking.

The Louders are active members of the First United Methodist Church, South Fork, where they are officers. Mrs. Louder is a member of the church choir.

They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

The Louders are the parents of seven adopted children: Karen, wife of Maurice Olarte, Purcellville, Va.; Tim, married to the former Shannan Yarnick, Johnstown; Tom, married to the former Lisa Friedman, Johnstown; Roger, married to the former Stacey Gregorio, Plymouth, Luzerne County; Bill, married to the former Tammy Simler, Windber; Brian, married to the former Velvet Ashbrook, Hooversville; and Rachael, wife of Craig Wadsworth, South Fork.

There are 16 grandchildren: Kurt, Austin, Shawn, Samantha, Evan, Victoria, Noah, Amanda, Donny, Jimmy, Brett, Cody, Brianna, Brian Jr., Ashley and Kylie.
