Pavlicks note 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pavlick of Ferndale have noted their 60th wedding anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving followed by a dinner hosted by their children at Sunnehanna Country Club, 1000 Sunnehanna Drive, Westmont.

Mr. Pavlick and the former Mary Grace Frick were married July 21, 1948, at St. John Gualbert Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown, by the Rev. John Daly.

Mr. Pavlick was born in Johnstown, son of Stephen and Anna (Voytek) Pavlick.

Mrs. Pavlick was born in Johnstown, daughter of George and Cecelia (Malzi) Frick.

Mr. Pavlick was employed as a sales representative by Sanitary Dairy and was a high school and college basketball referee for 30 years.

He is a Navy veteran, having served during World War II.

He has always been involved in athletics as a player and referee and enjoys watching sports on TV and attending high school football games.

He enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Pavlick was a secretary at Ferndale Area High School.

She enjoys watching sports on TV, attending high school football games, crosswords, playing cards with the Pinochle Club and reading. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

The Pavlicks enjoy taking early morning walks, swimming and wintering in the Carolinas.

They are members of Berkley Hills Golf Course and Mrs. Pavlick is a member of Atta Girls Golf League.

The Pavlicks are charter members of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church,

where Mrs. Pavlick serves as a Eucharistic minister.

They are the parents of four children: Bill, married to the former Barbara Schultz, Charlottesville, Va.; David, married to the former Susan Barr, Canton, Ohio; Lisa Dolak, Syracuse, N.Y.; and Dan, married to the former Susan Stager, Pittsburgh.

There are 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
