Davis couple mark 50th date
Mr. and Mrs. James “Jim” J. Davis of Johnstown have marked their 50th wedding anniversary with reaffirmation of vows by the Rev. Robert Callihan and a reception for family and friends at The Beka House.
Jim and the former Geraldine “Gerri” Livingston were married Dec. 27, 1958, at Evangelical United Brethren Church, Valencia, Butler County, by the Rev. Dwight Ferguson assisted by the Rev. Carlton Pearce.
Mr. Davis was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Kittanning, Armstrong County, son of Bert and Elva (Loudenslager) Davis.
Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Valencia, daughter of Charles and Clarie (Gossar) Livingston.
Mr. Davis is a retired funeral director and had been employed by John Henderson Co. Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was employed by Physicians & Dentist Service Bureau Answering Service.
They are members of Trinity United Methodist Church and Rise & Stride Club.
She is a member of Red Hat Tootsies.
They are the parents of two children: Tammy Jo, wife of Gary Carmack, Loxahatchee, Fla., and Cathy Sue, wife of Bryan Alwine, Boswell.
There are five grandchildren: Celia, Chelsea and Gary James Carmack and Cheyenne and Sierra Alwine.
