Altemuses to note 62nd date

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald N. Altemus of Davidsville will note their 62nd wedding anniversary with a family dinner Sunday at the home of their daughter, Bonnie Gelles of Johnstown.
Mr. Altemus and the former Rosealene D. Roberts were married April 27, 1946, at the former Homestead
Avenue Evangelical United Brethren Church, in the Wal-nut Grove section of Johnstown, by the late Rev. W.G. Hawk.
Mr. Altemus was born in Johnstown, son of the late Nelson and Odessa (Grow) Altemus.
Mrs. Altemus was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late John and Carrie (Bender) Roberts.
Mr. Altemus is an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired from Johnstown Seven-Up Pre-Mix Co. Inc. and Hess’s Department Store.
The Altemuses are members of Homestead Avenue United Methodist Church, Walnut Grove.
They are the parents of three children: Sharon E., wife of Frank Wurth, Johnstown; Terry L., married to the former Virginia Miller, Davidsville; and Bonnie, wife of Andrew Gelles, Johnstown.
There are nine grandchildren: Scott Taylor, Chris
Taylor, Joseph Wurth, Sarah Lloyd, Jonathan Altemus, Sarah Gelles, Anna Gelles, Samantha Gelles and Nicole Gelles.
