Mr. and Mrs. Sam McNulty of the West End section of Johnstown have noted their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at
Anthony’s Restaurant, Geistown Borough, and a Mass at St. Rochus Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. McNulty and Pauline were married Oct. 12, 1958, at St. Columbia Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. McNulty retired from Bethlehem Steel Garage as a forman and went on to run his own paving business for many years.
He volunteers at the West End Food Pantry and takes care of his neighbors.
Mrs. McNulty is a retired nurse working in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital and as a home health-care nurse.
She is a member of Ancient Order of Hibernians.
She enjoys St. Rochus Book Club, Cambria City Community Group, retired nurses luncheons, BMHS reunion meetings and Tuesday night bingo and volunteering at the West End Food Pantry for more than 25 years.
Mrs. McNulty is a devout Steelers fan and enjoys going to games with her daughters.
The McNultys are the parents of five children: Sally, wife of Jeff Thompson, Mary, wife of Keith Barkhymer; Sam, and wife, Dina; Kathleen, wife of Bill Saylor; and Pollyanne, wife of Scott Close, all of the West End section of Johnstown.
There are 12 grandchildren: Zachary, Emily, Luke, Stephanie, Jacob, Joey, Michael, Connor, Anna, Katherine, Liz and Molly.
